I think most of my questions have been brought up by others. I have no idea what to honestly expect from this team and good lord I saw that bracketology has us as a one seed, which is obviously a trap. Please pull us back down to the reality that will surely come cause this is Texas Basketball.
But I do also enjoy you giving a good run down to the rest of the conference. Also recruiting (or just transfer portals now?) which I do not really follow.
I'm concerned about rim protection with this roster. Should I be? Mitchell is our only center, and the reporting I've read on him gushes about his offensive capabilities but says little about defense. Beyond him, Bishop can play center but is undersized. Are we in trouble is Mitchell gets hurt, or does the no middle defense make up for lack of size in the paint?
3] your take on his hard sell to the student body- Trumanesque whistlestop tours of campus. I love what I am seeing. Can it work?
4] I have the sense that hoops crowds size and loudness in my time have been positively correlated to the success of the football season. Could this have been true?
5] There is a theory rumored by me that Beard does better in his first two years at a program than he does after, and then he jumps ship, while it is still afloat. BUT this may be his final ship jump in his mind. Any comment?
A potential one seed seems like a huge reach when a team has almost no chemistry in the backcourt. Are we getting our hopes up? What should expectations be?
What kind of system will these players thrive in and how does that compare to what we’ve seen beard do?
Excited for a Gregory gym game! Hoping they go more there for the small non conference matchups!
Thanks, BWG. What are Beard's areas of expertise as well as the current coaches? Can Beard coach the no-middle defense as well without his former assistant at Tech? And do you think he is still tied to the Knight motion offense? Please give us hope that the Beard offense at Texas will be better than what we saw while he was at Tech. Thanks!
The team has a new grad transfer - 6'1" guard who averaged 20 ppg and near 40% from the arc as a senior. A walk-on from Sul Ross. Is there film or a scouting report on him? BTW, the other walk-on is a true FR, 6'7", thin as a rail.

Will we ever know the happiness of watching players grow from freshmen to seniors or will Beard's transfer portal mastery quash that?
What is Beard's strategy for recruiting offensive linemen out of the portal?
BWG- very interested in visiting this site often and reading your takes. Good luck and thank you for launching it.
Defense! Who's going to be cajoled into playing it? Looks like they'll have to outscore everyone, since by and large that's who they've brought in.

How much will chemistry affect this team?
How do you become a primarily non-football Texas sports fan. Texas football is depressing.
Thanks, BWG. Glad you are alive and well.

Who are all these transfers and what does our starting lineup look like?

Any chance Beard won’t be Rick Barnes v.2 ?

We must know everything about the walk-ons!
